Will this work on password-protected PDFs?

No. Remove the password or export an unlocked copy first—encrypted inputs are rejected so we never ask for credentials in the browser.

What if my PDF already has text?

We probe leading pages; when enough text is already extractable, you get your original file back without a full recognition pass.

How accurate is the text layer?

Quality depends on scan resolution, skew, and fonts. Always spot-check important numbers, names, and legal passages after download.

Why is there a page and size limit?

Recognition is resource-intensive. Limits keep waits predictable and the service reliable for everyone.
