Which video formats can I upload?

Use common browser-friendly formats such as MP4, WebM, or MOV. If the file does not look like a video container, the tool will ask for a different file.

How long can my clip be?

For reliability, clips longer than about 8 minutes are not accepted. Shorter clips process faster and are less likely to hit time limits.

Why does my video need to be larger than the target size?

The encoder needs room to work: your input should be bigger than the target, with a small buffer (at least 100 KB) so quality adjustments remain meaningful.

Will the download always match my target size exactly?

We aim for your megabyte target and pad when the format allows. Some inputs or settings may land slightly off; if that happens, try nudging the target or using a shorter clip.
